Angina
Angina Pectoris
Chest pain or discomfort caused by reduced blood flow to the heart muscle, typically triggered by physical activity or stress.
Angina pectoris results from myocardial ischemia, most commonly due to coronary artery disease. Treatment goals include relief of symptoms and prevention of cardiac events. Nitrates for acute relief, beta-blockers for prevention, and antiplatelet therapy are standard.
