Migraine Headache Disorder
A neurological disorder causing recurrent moderate-to-severe headaches, often with nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and sound.
Migraine affects approximately 12% of the population and is the second most disabling neurological disorder worldwide. It is characterized by recurrent attacks of unilateral, throbbing headache lasting 4–72 hours. Triptans are the gold standard for acute treatment of moderate-to-severe attacks, while beta-blockers and anticonvulsants are used for prevention.
