This test is used to identify Tick-Borne Relapsing Fever pathogens via culture-enhanced PCR (cePCR). The sample is first incubated in media so microorganisms in the blood can grow and multiply, then it is tested by PCR. This test is unavailable for patients over 65 when ordered through physician services.
