Seasonal Flu
A contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses, causing fever, body aches, cough, and fatigue.
Influenza is a respiratory infection causing significant morbidity and mortality, particularly in the elderly and immunocompromised. Annual vaccination is the primary prevention strategy. Antiviral treatment with neuraminidase inhibitors (oseltamivir, zanamivir) is most effective when started within 48 hours of symptom onset and is recommended for high-risk patients.
